I am running a .625 bored/blueprinted carb from ARC, it seems to be making pretty good power with it. At this point I'll probably just stick with that. Thanks for the recommendations though.

May need to jet it richer. It's a pretty short shot then as well, if it were me I'd weld some extra pipe on there. A touch of back pressure will do some good.

The stock flywheel and rod USUALLY can withstand 5000 rpm. That being said, if you've got the kart geared in a manner where you can hold it at that for extended periods, good luck keeping the valve...

Yea that low speed jet is pretty small, sounds like an ethanol related issue. Thank god for the farmers, but they can keep that out of my fuel.

Replaced the bushing with a genuine comet part and it's holding up for now. Also adjusted the preload in the driven unit and dropped down one tooth up front. Seems to be holding up a lot better, time...
