Ether the whole driven unit is on backwards or its assembled wrong. The plastic buttons are on the wrong side of the cam. Any load on the thing will cause the driven unit to open up and slip.

Its a Rupp Dart A-Bone kart. It has been run a few laps around the town is all. Its a rocket!! Cant say much about the handling due to a lack of track time. Its been sitting for 10 years.

Yeah, that was a low down kick in the pants rule targeted directly at sidewinder karts wile exempting the rear engine karts that are the most dangerous for launching clutches. Dirty unfair crap.

It looks like a taperlock hub. You should be able to screw in a couple bolts in the threaded holes in the hub. They will bottom out against the sprocket and push it off the hub when tightened.

I said the same thing when i looked at the pic. I wasnt sure but it looked like the belt is on backwards. Mostly flat side goes toward engine.

I am almost 100% sure that is a Proline kart. Nice karts made by Doug Henline, the same guy that makes the douglas wheels. Those karts are the only ones I know of with center mounted pedals.
