Well if you plug in the listed max torque and Rpm's into the formula for hp, you get about 5.5hp. The equation is as follows: (torque*rpm's)/5252=hp, so (8*3600)/5252=5.5hp

For 4-stroke, modern industrial style engines this is fairly accurate. But keep in mind if you are talking about 2 strokes, dirt bike engines or anything like that, then this will be very off.
