You should be able to get it off with a good impact wrench. It wouldn't hurt to take the axle to your nearby shop and ask if they could remove the nut for you. Shouldn't cost more than a few bucks...

The roll cage on a Murray Explorer is not a suitable crash cage by any means and I wouldn't trust it for anything more than aesthetics or perhaps keeping branches from whacking the driver in the face...

Most don't even have seat cushions...mine didn't.
