Not dual exhaust springs thats a different animal. An exhaust spring on both valves. No not really risking anything, at the most a bent valve. But I never bent one on a stock cam.

No the head stopped the float on some of ours....

No the head stopped the float on some of ours. And he is correct cutting the head there not allowed by the rules. They actually worked really great.

No. The flywheel is removed but it is not necessary to keep pulling it off to insert the offset keyway. To be honest the keyway was not needed in this engine as the flywheel was lapped to the crank...
