Mustie tackles a Concession Kart

Another of his ‘Will It Run?’ series.

An hour long video you say? Too much for some, sure, but it’s neat to see an in-depth inspection, repair and commentary about one of these amusement park workhorses. Take note of the design of the steering spindles. That’s pretty darn clever and it's off-the-shelf and a fairly low cost alternative to a “specialized go kart part”. ...also guarantees the steering will be low friction for the youngsters.

Honda GX160, 5.5 HP, gear reduction and the usual cogged belt final drive. A real track BEAST! :D

Darn, when I saw the title of this thread I was fully expecting that you'd bought an old concession kart to butcher/hop up! :roflol:

I was hoping to see him rip around on it in that vid but I guess not.

I don't refer to myself as the YouTube personality Mustie, though [Mustie1 to be precise]. :o
You need to think more instead of just reacting all the time. :D

He says another video is in the works where he will work on the brakes.

Heh.

Mustie says he's going to go for more speed at the end of the last video. I'm amazed he's going further with that hunk o' junk. Getting it starting, running and stopping was all I expected.
