Tire Height (Diameter) Help

Hello all so I think this is probley a stupid question but im very new to all this.

I am using the motor gear ratio calculator and im trying to figure out the size of Tyres I have,

on the side of the Tyre it says 8 1/2 x2 so are they just 8 and a half inches Tyres I have ?

1: Take tire(tyre) a lean against a wall......
2: Take a taper measure and measure from the ground to top of height of tire....(could use a ruler or any other flat object to span along to where it can be better seen on the tape measure).

Sounds like you have a second pair of numbers on your tyre..
something along 50-134 or such is that correct?

If so, then yes.. the tyre will indeed be 8.5" in diameter (more or less exactly)
it'll also be 2" wide (again roughly)
in fact it'll be 50 mm wide and have an inside diameter of 134mm (rather exactly)

That'd be a common size for mobility scooters and strollers btw..
So be careful when mounting such to a faster vehicle..
the rim that comes with it might not be up for high side loads!
