Most folks in this forum don't know what a 'cylinder mower' is.
Cylinder mowers use a horizontal shaft engine and would be just fine for kart. Tricky part would be if shaft was measured in millimeters as opposed to inches. Either way...it can be used.
Nitrous kits are known engine killers and not for beginners. Consider this addition after kart is up and running and you've gained a lot of experience.

Isn't a cylinder mower like the old skool push ones that have the blades that rotate when the wheels move?

Known as a reel mower to the colonists.

Hi its me again do u think i could use a rotary mower self driven and deresrict the engine and also the nos kits are apprently quite easy to fit just a matter of drilling a hole in the air cleaner and threding the pipe through please respond and tell me if this is right or is it just the cheapy way

If properly set up Nitrous oxide shouldnt hurt your motor but if not properly set up it could destroy it in seconds! And whats the point in Nos'n a goverened engine and get your cart built then talk nos.

A hub that has double flanges :arf:

No, seriously, help me out on this one guys if I'm wrong, but a double flanged hub is one that has two sides that you can mount things on. One one side can be the wheel and on the other can be the sprocket, then the whole assembly can be mounted on an axle. It keeps them together so when the sprocket rotates, so does the wheel.
