chain & spockets

why do they have differnt chain & spocket sizes ? and is there any performence benifts to the diff. sizes ?

Well different sizes sprockets/chains is like engine sizes. Smaller engine, lighter duty, bigger engine, heavy duty. Smaller sized sprockets/chains, lighter duty and vice versa.

yeah thats about all there is. Bigger for more high power engines.

i've always used 35 pitch chain and sprockets, up to 6.5 HP and never had any problems. For something bigger you might consider the other. But as far as I care, it's just whatever is around is what I use. :)
