my go kart has a briggs 5 hp engine with a torque converter.my go kart frame is configured for a torque converter. But i was wondering if i could but a sprocket where the driver would be. i am getting a dirt bike engine so no clutch is not needed. i would like to run a chain for the dirt bike engine to the sprocket. so it would be like dirt bike to big sprocket. From big sprocket to little sprocket that is connected by #42 chain to the final big sprocket that is attached to tire. i know i sound crazy and stupid.Look

you might want to get tooth counts so you can figure out where youre going to end up speed wise.

I'd run little to medium, little to medium. (medium being around 25-35 teeth)
or little to big little to little.

Looks to me if you take the motor and the torque converter off, youd need 2 pillow block bearrings and a jackshaft, and i think you would be fine. Dont forget sprokets.

all of the little gray things you see bolted down which have shafts going through them are pillow block bearings.

It just a tube rather than single ones. if you can take the pully off the one end and put a sproket on the other you would be in great shape. You lookin to sell that torque converter?

They are bearrings like you have on your wheels. You have one in the pic you showed but of a different style.
