So, we have the timing fixed. My husband put the engine back together, it fired over and runs well. However, now we have oil leaking out of the engine. It looks as though it is leaking from the seals or gaskets, we will try replacing them, is there any other reason it would leak oil?

it is because your seals arent sealing properly! or you may have alot of crankcase pressure and a cloged vent presurizing the block that would be my guess then again we could have to know exactly where its leaking from.

Clean the engine well, and then find where it's leaking from.

well does it leak worse when running if not it should be gaskets.
