Bad timin?

I took the briggs and stratton engine off our go kart last night and cleaned it all up, now I can not get it to fire over. Could I have messed up the timing? If so, how do I reset it ?

its in the interals, the gears, do you have spark and fuel?

Pretty hard to mess up timing on any small engine unless assembled improperly. How far, if at all, did you disassemble to clean it? What was used to clean it? What is model number and age of engine?

okay, so we have the timing fixed and the engine runs well :) , except there is oil leaking:( . We think it is around the edge, we are going to try to replace the seal, is there any other reason it would leak. We don't think it is over filled.
