I have a comet tav 30 series torque converter for sale. It is all mounted on the jackshaft plate. Driven is 3/4 inch ". Comes with new belt.
Would like 100.00 + shippingI think it's fair seeing how much these things are selling for else where. It's nuts. Just want it to make room for new 40 series I need.
Both are in great shape, just dirty.

Well the package arrived today, he did ship it quickly. But he he was quite clever with his picture taking as to hide how the backing plate was hacked up by using the cover. I would have disclosed this in my description if I was selling it. It has a plate welded to the engine attach point and the bottom mounting tabs for the cover have been cut off, so I'll have to do a little fab work on this thing to make it right. He has some other items for sale, so I'm just sharing my experience with this member.

:( Dave, I am very sorry you are not 100% happy with this. I wish I could give you a discount or something but I feel at 100.00 this was a great deal.
I did not mean in anyway to hide anything about this setup to you. I hope that you had realized my sincerity through my communication with you.
I wish you had emailed me first about this situation instead of making me look like a scoundral or internet tough guy. Now I feel like a bit of a victim though I understand your frustration, though it sounds like you figured it out just fine.
You also had the ability to ask me for better pictures, the only reason I didn't include high res pictures was to keep from being a bandwidth hog.

..... Dave!
I am so sorry! I know this sounds like a weasly way out...I didn't even noticed what pictures I had put on this page, I just posted and didn't pay much attention.
I had also listed these locally on craigslist and did not mean to hide this! One of the pictures included was one of the jacshaft bracket. Dave, again, I am really sorry. Say what you wish about me, but please don't let the mistakes made by me deter you from benefiting yourself or others on this great site. :'(

Dave,
I am going nuts trying to find the pictures I took with the cover off, I can't find them. I deleted the local posting after I knew it was being sold to you.
I really wish you had emailed me first, I would have returned your money as there are several people locally that were interested in it, but now that it has been modified further, I don't know.
I really feel like an @$$ hole for this situation.

All I did so far was take apart the driver and driven to clean them up, I don't know what he was talking about with further modification.

I know I should mind my own business, but that might very well be the most god awful welding job I have ever seen. I think I'd be more than a bit dis-satisfied. I hope you guys can work this out.

It had all the parts except for the bottom 2 tabs to fasten the cover.I just didn't like how the side bends were cut off, that is what keeps the backing plate stiff. It weighs 15#, shipping was $25. If I would have waited CPC will have the Comet production up and running in the middle of March, could have bought a new one for $155:mad2:, I guess I'm just a crappy buyer:oops:

:-/ I wasn't selling for the march market, I was selling for now, and I thought it was pretty good for how much they are going for else where. Shipping cost me a chunk more than 25 too, but I didn't want to come back asking for more money.
I hope you find some use for it Dave, it's not like it unfunctional.
Best,
Antonio

cool, I'mhoping to duild an offroad cart soon, my CR250R was a 84 bored 80 over last bore before a resleaving, somebody stole it out of a friends garage. I bought a 91 CR250R a couple years ago but I didn't like that one as much so I sold it the next spring, I bought 2 RM250's in boxes & had on running that night, one was an ice racer so I had a great set of winter tires, still have the whole parts bike including those winter tires, the motor needs bearings & top end & probably lots more so maybe I'll make it electric ,put some pic's up of you'r toy's like to see you'r carts, The, old Yeller! was my budies theres like 10 spokes left in that back tire, this is the 91 my friend keeps saying 90 & i can't say for sure, & heres an old rupp I'm thinking of making electric

Oops, looks like you've been there! Yep. I was cleaning the brake last night, the cups were pretty stiff. I actually got the brake of a Arctic cat? summit x rev. Nice big, heavy too, slotted and drilled rotor with big brembo caliper!

Thank you, same one. Cutting, grinding, cutting, welding, grinding some more (uhg), blast cabinet, paint, good as new. We're good, don't sweat it. It gave me something to do. Wife is ready to kill me tho, I live in my garage.

Thanks so much David,
I am glad you got it to the way you wanted it. I know what you mean, I had spent this past weekend in the garage with my new kart, and she wasn't too happy!
