well,
I heard recently that if i was to charge a battery and leave it on a concrete ground it would start to discharge faster than normal.
Does anyone know if this is true?
anyone ever heard it before?

its full of horse hocky! the only ones that do that were the ones that are incredibly old and have the wood on the outside so the wood would suck the humidity out and drain the battery... or the other way around.

All automotive batteries slowly self discharge at a certain rate. The colder the battery is, the faster they self discharge.
I think the myth got started a long time ago after battery warehouses (in cold climates) noticed their batteries stored on concrete floors seemed to self discharged at a faster rate than on a shelf, and they assumed the old ruber cased/tar-topped batteries were somehow making an electrical connection and draining into the concrete floor, when it was actualy just that those batteries were being stored at a much colder temp being caused from direct contact with the cold floor.
