I'm building my son a kart from plans I got on the internet and one question I have is on the rear axle ends, the two options are short and long threaded. Is there one that is prefered or will offer better options for rims etc.?
thanks
great site!

the two options are short and long threaded.
Got the links to these? If not, where are you shopping for your axle? If we could see the ads info or pics we could probably give ya much better advice here.

you can adjust the width.. if its 1" threaded then it shouldnt matter MOST hubs are keyed and use allen bolts/set screws to lock it down instead of a 1" nut unless you have a 1" axle stepped down to 3/4"
but Yea poster up the links

this will be a yard/play kart with a live axle setup, the axles are the ones from Northern Tool (or other places), 36" solid steel with step down to 3/4" with threaded ends

similar to these, hope the link works ...Didn't think the non threaded type would be the way to go??
