Hey! I was first planning to build a kart, but then I got a suggestion that I could build a mini bike for a bigger challenge. The frame I shouldn`t be a problem but what about the engine? I have a 3,5hp Briggs lawnmover engine. Will that work or do I need a horisontal shaft? I have been looking for old mopeds I can rip the engine out of to use on a kart, but I won`t bother with it if the lawnmover might work. Advice, anyone, please:confused:

you need horizontal, unless the mower engine is 2 stroke then all you need is to makr sue carb is up right if it has a float.

u should just buy a new horizontal engine, a transfercase could cost more than a new engine

I`ll see if I can find a piece of trash moped I can rip the engine out of at http://www.finn.no then. That would be kinda cool.
