Engine: 11hp clone
I had to disconnect all the electrical connections to move the engine around, I got it all back together in the right way, but now it won't start with the electric start, just keeps cranking away. The battery is fully charged. It used to start up with the choke on within a few seconds. Now it won't and will only start using the pull cord.
I can't figure it out cause pulling it is much slower than the electric starter.
:censored: It's pissing me off.

definetly ignition issue, some wire somewhere is grounding that should NOT be. disconnect your magneto grounds and it will fire RIGHT up. just redo the wiring very carefully!

The key cuts the engine and only starts with the key in the on position.

the key is the problem, its a multi pole switch, and istead of being "open" when cranking on the ignition side, its closing stopping the spark. just recheck your work and itll clear up

But it's all color coded and the plugs can't be crossed cause the 2 blacks out of the engine have opposite connections to prevent crossing.

something might be, or something is pinched, grounding out somewhere. its worth a teardown

I figured it out, but doesn't make any sense though. The little box next to the wire for the low oil shut down. the 2 wires coming out of the box, one connects to the low oil sensor wire and one to the wire from the key, I had the wrong wire going to the wire from the key start., just disconnected it all and it works fine.

that is probably a diode, to prevent current from going the other way. good thing!!! hope shes running good
