Hey guys, I was riding my kart the other day when I got a little too throttle happy and I broke the stock rod (pretty common in these engines I hear) I ordered a new clone engine and ordered a new billet rod, flat top piston, mikuni carb 22 mm, and a variety of jets ;)

So I ended up tearing down the gx200 and it was full of great parts, this engine only had about 10 gas tanks ran through it. Parts & prices (I have pictures of all the parts except the stock carb, they just take so long to upload that I will post them up when requested)

Brand new carb (used through 2 tanks of gas) $10 + shipping

Stock gx200 head complete with valves, rocker arms, springs, retainers, valve cover with gasket, and stock push rods It has a little bit of jb weld on the studs where the exhaust goes because i had an exhaust leak but that can be chipped off by hand- $20 + shipping

stock bore piston with rings in excellent shape - $10 + shipping

stock flywheel - $15 plus shipping

stock fuel tank - $10 plus shipping

Side cover of engine - $10 plus shipping

stock coil - $15 plus shipping

main bearings still in good shape, $10 shipped

crank that needs turning a little or polished $10 plus ship

stock cam - $10 shipped

a spare carb that needs rebuilt $5 plus shipping

red side cover without the pull start $10 plus shipping

I'll sell everything at once for $50 plus shipping

The uploads currently on photobucket are 6 out of 9 and it's taken it an hour to get that far, my upload speed SUCKS but here is a video of the kart when it ran, you should be able to get a view of it from there.

i'm not sure on the RPM man, it still had more left in it though it was just leaning out and the valve springs were floating. That was a stock motor with no governor and a 105 main jet. Hopefully my future plans (may have a video up by next week) will be even more powerful xD

The whole rod was completely obliterated, I mean there was maybe 3 tiny pieces of it left that I could find honestly. I did find the bolts and they were bent almost double. It was a hard lick. I did'nt find the bearings (if it had any), no rod cap or anything.

Yea, i'm debating on whether to use 18 lbs springs on my build. I'm not sure on the benefits from going from 15 lbs to 18 lbs.

really? see i'm good with these engines but I'm not to sure on the specs. So I guess I would benefit with the 18 lbs springs hahah

well if the rod went with stock springs and good oil changes.. then I would think it was a fluke.. there are tins of these motors with stock rods turning 6-6200

what brand is yours??? i know its RED

If you've got a roll cage, you need a 4-6 point harness or it's more dangerous than without a cage.
