Hi, I'm looking to make a kart that uses wishbone steering (http://www.carbibles.com/steering_bible.html as in this picture, I'm not very advanced so are there any books on the subject or websites with diagrams that anyone could reccommend?

When you say wishbone steering do you mean a arms and suspension?

Yeah, Wishbone is a type of suspension setup. The steering is a different system. That site is a pretty good explanation of a few steering principles, though. Pay a lot of attention to the ackermann principles especially if you wanna race.

It is probably the only type of suspension I've personally seen on a kart, and rather easy to accomplish. You'll need two "wishbones" per side, a shock absorber, and something above the upper "wishbone" to attach the shock absorber to.

Pay attention to where everything ties into in that pic, as its a good example of the wishbone suspension.

You have to take a lot of things into consideration when building dual a arms. Unequal arms, caster, camber change from compression to full bump, KPI. bumpsteer etc. Here is a site with a lot of info for you to read before you start.
