you could get more power out of it with a larger rear sprocket, but you will loose top end speed, and vice versa; smaller rear sprocket less power but more speed

If the engine can have a torque converter, get one, with that small an engine, it will probably double the HP, and increase the speed, too.
If a torque converter wont work, build/buy a jackshaft. You can also do mods to the engine like, mill the head down, advance the flywheel, as ell as use a lawnmower flywheel, and there are still many things you can do to the engine.
As stated before, you can also change the gearing.
I hope this has helped in some way.

Yeah, a torque converter can be fairly pricy. If you get a new one off of a go kart website it'll cost around $160, minimum.
If you search around Ebay or some place like that, you could probably find one for only around $100.
The other choice is much cheaper, but isn't an automatic transmission; A jackshaft could increase power, and you can find some for only $30.

A new engine would probly be cheapest and maybe easiest. And when i saw new it could be used, i meant new to you.

Yeah the other option would be to get another engine. A rototiller engine would be perfect!

is the pickup tube the tube that runs back to the carb? I'm not sure but if its the one im thinking about i used a pipe clamp on it (the ones you use on garden hoses. What does that pipe do? sry im lost.

ooooooooooooo that one. I know what you mean now the little straw thingy. I thought you were talking about something else... Use epoxy to put it back in???

Does epoxy play nice with gasoline? I've never tried it myself, but if it does then you might have just said the solution to one of my problems on one of my engines.

I dunno. there's different kinds of epoxy too... Trial and error i guess.
