the motor and the trolling motor I already owned. I ground off the back supports and removed the rotted wood tonight, tomorrow I'll replace the transom wood with new, re-assemble, hopefully get on the water friday to test for other leaks.

Nice after that you need to mount 2 coolers one for beverages and the other one for fish!

Is that a wood/fiberglass flat bottom boat?
My friend and I made a wood/fiberglass boat in shop class that turned out rather well.

it's aluminum flatbottom.
I'm considering getting new gas for my mig so i can weld aluminum, but I'd have to buy a new bottle, and that would be $170... Though it would be really sweet to be able to weld aluminum.

Built from scratch? That's awesome!! Where did you learn / get plans?

Yep, a few sheets of 1/4 plywood and a lot of fiberglass makes a pretty sturdy boat! I got the plans from Here. (http://www.unclejohns.com/) They were pretty simple and straight forward. Building it was pretty fun. In the end I think it totaled about 250-300 dollars. We had to rush some of it. So it doesn't look as good as some of the ones that were made on that site.
Although yours has alot more room for people/coolers and with aluminum you don't have to worry about rocks/trees.
