Forum Software Upgraded

We upgraded this afternoon to the new vbulletin software. There was about 15 minutes or so of downtime.

This should solve more spam issues, etc. I'll be working on the site some more today to make sure everything is working a-ok.

i was wondering why i clicked on the spot new post was and i got callender lol. it does look nice though easyer to get to places to.

can you still see the "tags"?

(tags are a way to "tag" certain posts with info. Like, "funny", "engines", "etc". They're usually more confusing than helpful as not everything is ever tagged the same.

it shouldn't be all that different. mostly changes to the security, and added a photo upload thing that we might use. I'm examining it now.

Spell check does not appear to be working.

Were is the spell checker? i have Firefox for that reason I didn't know that the forums had a spelling checker.

You may be correct, i am using internet explorer when i normally use firefox..... may explain that one.

Looks like the update pulled in the spammers. Anything to counter act that aside from more mods?

i have barely noticed spam until the update. now we get 2 people within a day!i expect its easily sorted out tho,

LOL, but, yeah, the spam has gotten pretty bad since the update. Maybe something during sign up isn't working?

haha! mabie cos the old system was with an older v bulletin, the spammers didnt bother looking for it?

so thats why my computer came up with a gazillion errors when i opened this site the other day lol (im not messing with you, it actually did!) but it doesnt anymore so thats all good.

Yeah when you hover over some "clickables" it does turn red.
