I picked up a Yerf Dog this weekend because it seemed like a good deal. $350 with a new 6.5 Tecumseh. It needs a new torque converter belt and I was wondering if car belts would work the same or not? Also I can find the one I need for around $35 but is there other belts that work just the same that can be found locally? (MXT97 DF) is the part #.
first I would use the belt intended, the pitch and design of another type may not hold up. that said, go to advance auto parts with original, and get a comparable lawn and garden type, its the best alternative I can think of, its meant for slipping and gripping, and should hold up, but may not work at all (you'd be out less than $8 bucks in TC sized cases, and you can return it if it doesn't fit)
