Im a little confused. They sell centrifugal clutches with 10 tooth sprokets for #40 and #35 chain but they only seem to sell 12 tooth clutches for a #40 chain. I have a #40 chain and 60 tooth sprocket to fit the chain. Im not sure if i should return the sproket and chain and get a #35 chain and sproket. I got my engine at a costco in the US for 120$ brand new. Its 6.5hp but i dont know if its good quality. should i stick with the #40 chain or get the #35 chain?

get the clutch from princess auto
and the engine has been running pretty much trouble free, starts on the first pull, but the choke and fuel control levers are confusing because they are not clearly labled
just so u know, the choke lever is choking when it is on the right side, it is not choking when it is on the left side, before you use it, move it to the right, pull once or twice (cant recall), move it to the left, pull again to start the engine, then adjust the fuel until it runs good, and also adjust the choke lever after starting (it runs faster on medium choke, but it has to start on no choke), and let it warm up. then you can put it on a kart and use it

are you sure princess auto has a clutch because ive been there a few time and i dont recall seeing one. Well its good to know the engine works for someone else. Wut the hell does the fuel control do i cant figure it out. It said in the manual but my dog **** on it... My dads friend own a machine shop and he said hed teach me how to weld. So i hope ill be done soon. When its finished ill post pictures.

u dont really need it, you can take the caliper apart, and use longer bolts and use the bolts to attach it to something

to me the calipers there look pretty cheesy so im thinking of going hydraulic. I got a clutch today :)

hydraulic is better but will be harder to maintain and more expensive to buy if your kart is just going to use a 6.5 hp engine it wont even come close to needing that much stopping power {itll just lock up the back tires as soon as you touch the brakes}

ill keep that in mind. I still think the calipers a princess auto are cheesy. How did the caliper handle for you? Im considering of making my own caliper.

Crap, I didn't realize I could get an engine for that cheap. I've been shopping around and the least I've found is around $180 for 2.5-3.5hp. i guess I better go check Costco.
