Hey

Ive got a 180cc victa motor and im gunna hook it up to a light go kart frame with about 20 cm wheels.
On the clutch im gunna have a 18 tooth cog and on the axle ive got a 48 tooth cog.
Im wondering if this would be any good. I am only looking for a bit of fun it doesnt have to be a speed machine or anyhting.

Its a 2 stroke and about 4 HP

4hp 2 stroke Victa-160cc powertorque model. Are you running the stock carb? That severely limits the engines RPM.

My karts going to be a while off because I have to reinforce the frame and stuff.
I'm thinking of running it one wheel drive- a chain staight to the cog on the wheel from the motor.

That ratio (18-48) will not even move. The motor isn't powerful enough to pull that kind of ratio. Try more like 12-60 ratio minimum
