hey, could someone give me a list of what controller is required for say a 750W motor upwards? if it's a 36v motor do i need 36v in batteries for full load & should i get a bigger controller than 36v? so it can handle more? cheers guys

I have a Curtis controller that I bought a few days before finding the dual motor control that suited my needs better. Its a 250 amp controller and is in great shape
I would like 100.00 shipped to your door.

if i had a 12 or 24v motor how much power could i get if i add more batteries say 48v of batteries? would it make a difference to power?
is pwm same as speed controller?

It would certainly go faster, not nessesarily more powerful but, then you're at risk of burning out the motor really fast.
PWM stands for Pulse Width Modulation, which is a method of controlling how much current is going into a particular device. It is used in many things like power supplies and motor controllers. It is a much more efficient method of controlling current than linear voltage control.

He said he got that motor from a hydraulic pump. Now I wonder WHAT had that pump.

Oh, I wasn't trying to be sarcastic. I thought maybe you hadn't seen the part where he said he got it off a hydraulic pump. I'd like to see one of those motors myself.

Motor was probably came from a forklift (hydraulic system) or from big truck (lifter for a bed) ...One of those motors is used for a car conversion ( project ForkenSwift ) in Canada.
