dad got a mig welder, but he lets me use it whenever i need it

I have a mig. I started welding on my friends arc but it was a pain to keep the arc going without the stick sticking to the metal.

I go to the fabrication shop with my dad since he works there on nights and they have both mig and tig, so I put my vote in the friends/family.

ive got a old arc ive seen how easy it is to use mig and get nice welds i realy need to get one

i put friend/family cause my dads friend has all kinds of welding...

I have 2 Mig, one for gas used on almost all my projects now, one gasless, used for fixes out and about, that and a 2000/4000 peak watt inverter, I can weld almost anywhere.

as well as an ARC welder that my father gave me, only used on things thicker than 1/2"
