Hi all - I am new here and mostly to Go Karts. I have a 5HP Briggs & Stratton engine. The engine was locked up due to sitting out in the weather. I pulled the top and freed the piston up and cleaned the carb. Replaced the gas tank with a used tank of a similar engine. (tank had water and rust in it). The engine will start only if I put a little gas directly into the carb. Once it burns this off, it dies. I have checked the pick up tube and it is clean and clear of any debris. I don't know what else to check or test. Help please!
