where do i find engine?

i am building a mini chopper and im trying to find an engine for it. i am hoping to get a 4 hp out of a junkie machine or for under $50. so, does anyone have any seggestions?

i like garage sales, some are duds but some are great! thats were i found my welder and motors. if not that then junk yards.
