I was asked about the harbor frieght torch upgrade I had mentioned, I thought I'd post it here as record so I don't have to track down the order info again. if you have this welder already, the liner is plastic and will wear out causing jams, this gets rid of that by using another manufacturers torch and a liner made of metal, which will last ALOT longer. feel free to ask questions if you need to.

Hello i also have the 90 amp harbor freight welder. would you have the part number for the liner and the gun that you replaced. or is it something you just match up at the welding supply store?

thank you for your time

cambell hausfeld parts.
WC601510AJ ASSY,TORCH/HOSE-FLUX CORE,8' $55.10
WC601530AJ ASSY, TORCH/HOSE-FLUX CORE,10' $61.00
WC601550AJ ASSY,TORCH/HOSE-FLUX CORE,6' $38.88

you'll have to change it a little, its not an exact replacement, I'd recommend the 8' the biggest gain I got out of it was I could get liners, and its steel lined and not plastic, no more binding. I had to put heat shrink tubing on the liner to get my black plastic box clamp to hold better, but try yours first, mine was tight but tended to back out with alot of use since it was a coiled wire liner, it would unscrew from the plastic. the heat shrink fixed that, I used the HF multipack of heat shrink, the red one.

you'll also either have to cut the cover back or solder and lengthen the power wire as it won't reach the bolt. I lengthen the wire on the welder side, so if I change it all again it will be less work, though it should almost never wear out.

I also split the liner cover and ground down the plastic blob in the liner to fit my retaining box. this didn't take much, and watch for the wire and liner

this upgrade made a HUGE difference in my feelings about the welder, its eliminated all the wire jams I had before, I'm very pleased. hope this helps.
