Here's a few pics of the scooter my son Andy and I are building. Engine is a 43cc Shindaiwa blower motor with a modified pocket bike expansion chamber. Hoping to get 30 mph, once we get the gearing correct. I usually work on my restored '70 Nova, but I'm having more fun messing around with this scooter. I'm reliving my childhood and teaching my son a bit about mechanics and welding.

Thanks! :) We got the gearing closer and Andy spent had fun running up and down our street. We are now able to get "on the pipe" a little better. Tops out a around 30 mph now, but still not hitting full revs. Gears are-12T clutch, 20T ctr shaft. 9T ctr shaft and 60T on the rear wheel. We will be going to an 80T on the rear wheel next.

No, I had to cut/weld and add a section to make it fit. Just a cheap China pocket bike pipe. Probally not tuned, not now anyway! :D
