Sorry, dont know where this topic belongs but...
I think I am going to start working on my dirt bike engine'd go kart. The thing is, I think i want to make it all from scratch. (Ill enjoy it more and have more pride in it)
So what are my alternatives to using graph paper to design the frame? I wish I were still in high school cause I could go back to my drafting class and draw it up. But im talking about on the computer, a simple program that I would make plans for.
P.S. Nobody say Microsoft Paint.:p

There's a free one from google called SketchUp that someone posted on here before.

We use autocad. It's very expensive to buy though.

Well the autocad is at my father's work. I was just pointing out that as a homeowner getting your hands on it will be $$$.

yeah id go with either sketch up or Zw CAD

The two should be compatible for transfer.
I found its great for drawing a flat plan in cad and transfering it to sketchup so u can push pull the 2d plan
Drew a house this way in school.
