cool, doug, welcome to the site! we've got a good group here that's always willing to critique and suggest ideas. Never too early to get started making sketches, getting parts, etc!

Hey, my name is matt and I am from canada. I have been looking at this site for a week or two but I finally registered as a member. I have a kart frame and it's a bit wore down but it will work. Just working on the rear end and I have purchased a Champion 6.5 HP universal engine. Need to know if this engine will do for my kart(have to upload some pics). I also can't figure out if I want to use a live axle or a single wheel drive system. Give me a holler back. :)

about the engine i have the exact same one for my gokart. was it from costco? From what ive heard the only problems with it were cause by human error so its pretty reliable :)

yes it was from costco for 150 dollars. I think it should do fine.
