Finally a site for DIY kart builders. This site would have been helpful on my first kart build. I have been modifying karts for a couple of years now, and I'm glad there is a place to bounce my ideas around and take some of the guess work out of it. Some of my mods include building a double A-arm front suspension, rear swing arm, roll cage, installing a TAV 20, and adding hydralic motorcycle brakes to my kids kart. My kart is a cross between a double seater yerf-dog and a 4 wheeler.

I've thought a lot about suspensions as well. After I build a bar-stool-racer, I'm thinking about a 2 seat suspensioned trike... with golf kart tires for traction.
