anyone know where I can get front rims for a 1960 putt-nik, 4'' steel split rim, bolts to a 3 1/4'' flanged hub with 6 bolt holes.

Does the 6-bolt circle measure 3-1/4" across (center to center) like this pic below?
Also, how large does the center hole need to be?

they measure 2 3/4'' across. the flange measures 3 3/4'' outside to outside, the center hole is 2 1/8'' the bolt holes are 1/4'' or so

fronts are 4''rims with 6 bolts to the hub plus the bolts to bolt the rims together. the rears are 6''rims with three bolt type plus the bolts to bolt the rims together, sorry only pics I got

Your rims have a larger bolt pattern than any modern racekarts use. Van-K still makes 4" split rims, they mighta made your karts original rims back in 1960. You should contact them asking if they have your bolt pattern in stock, or will drill some rims to your pattern:--> http://vankwheels.com/van-k_wheels_v8c_010.htm

Being so old, they may be hard to get. Have you considered something like this:
