Runs lean, placing a GX390 Carburetor, Carburetor Adapter, UNI Air Filter + Adapter, and a nitrous injection kit on it.

Wet or dry nitrous? Thats a pretty high compression setup, does it run pump gas?

Yes, right now it's running a mixture of 89/93. Getting pure 93 today.

You tell me. There aren't any guys with Dynos I know of here. I could send it do NR and get it Dynoed for like $75, but who knows that UPS will do to it. People with similar setups are around 20-25HP.

First things first. Put that GX390 carburetor n' stuff on. It runs lean now, need to straighten that out. When I really "get to it", I'll be switching to a 22mm Mikuni (Hopefully genuine one), and alky (I have some professional help ;))
The carburetor adapter adapts GX390 carbs and Mikuni 22's. Another goody. I might take a video of it with a pipe today. Today or tomorrow. Right now my top priority is to get it to run on that kart.
EDIT - At time of filming, it was still being broken in. Was running dino oil WalMart brand 10W-30 Motor oil. Synthetic doesn't seat the valves correctly.
Thats a pretty high compression setup,
Stock head is around 22cc. The dished piston also took away around 8cc. So I've earned around 16cc's back.

NITROUS!! Yay! As soon as you get your mikuni 22 i can start helping you for a alky setup. I would say a #20 main jet would be PERFECT. JK:roflol:

Guess what Oscar? This winter I am going to do some mod's to my clone. This is what I plan. Remove goverener, Billet intake 22 mm mikuni carb and the UNI air filter. Also Billet rod and Billet ARC flywheel. Sound good?

Yup! But it depends on your budget. If you wanna save $25, you could get the aluminum flywheel, ect...
This is where I can help :D

How come it says on AGK to set the valve lash after removing the governer? I dont need too? and NO I am going the safe way and buying a ARC billet flywheel. But realy I dont wind out my kart alot so who says I even need a billet rod and flywheel? I RARELY even have it doing 3600 RPM stock!

Awww... I bought a #20... :(
Jk jk :p
GX390 setup didn't work. It was 1) Don't run or 2) Run only when gas down plug hole and runs very fast idle...
Oh well :)

That means it's a sleeper! Now go sneak up and someone in your neighborhood who also has a kart and BLOW THEM AWAY!!!!!
Nice job on the engine, btw.

Thanks haha!
Well, I'm uploading a video of a low speed spin around the neighborhood (Who would want to drop a $300 digital camera?!)
It works great! It really is a sleeper, even with the candy cane header.
Now to finish up my Briggs 5HP... :devil2:

Well, hows the power?
oscaryu1
07-19-2008, 09:45 PM
No idea, but it revs VERY high and safely. Very smooth rev, and when I just touch the throttle (at higher RPMs) it literally glides there. But then again, this is my first real "race bred" engine.
