IDK, smoke a 1800cc sandrail on an oval? Its a 4sp stick and has a big cart frame. It MIGHT even smoke you in a 1/4 mile strip.

lol maybe. I think I would beat the sand rail in the 1/8. I will be running 7.30@100 MPH I get outa the hole pretty quick. Very hard launches **tire wrinkle** And my car isnt the average junior dragster you see at your locar track. We have a outlaw 330 car now. And I cant race ovals in a dragster soo...That wont work. But I'm sure I can beat that street car in ed's post. I can beat some of the semi pro drivers at my track in a heads up race.

Hey Tyler, I bet your little dragger can't beat my v8 s10 off the line! (I do love your dragster tho...)

Uhh I can beat your s 10 off the line. And in the 1/8 mile. What's your 60 foot times for drag racing? mine are around 1.20 And you wont hook up at all. so your lauch will be terrible. watch this video of a junior dragster. Same engine as me. The first car isnt a junior the second car is.

I was kidding, I'm sure you could hook WAY better than my truck. They are notorious for no traction with a v8 due to no weight over the rear. This particular s10 has never been on the track. However it may be taking a trip to Lebanon Valley Dragway this summer, not sure yet though. But let me tell ya, this thing will put your kidneys against the tailgate from a stop (provided you could find traction, though it hooked surprisingly well in the test street launches we did with stock 15" wheels and all-season tires).

haha nice. I rode in a big block camaro once with street tires once around some tight turns. chirping the tires all the way threw 4 gear and hitting the shift light every time!!:bannana:

how about you make it real racing instead of driving in a straight line for 311 metres or whatever the quarter mile is and add a couple of turns and some gear changes.
my money is on the FTO.
sorry tyler, but no matter how awesome your kart is, in my opinion burst speed in a straight is not that interesting even in full scale vehicles.

Thank you very much even after all the hard work, that's all you have to say. Its not a kart its a 15 foot long outlaw dragster. And I run 1/8 mile like the rest of the cars at my track and I run it in around 7 seconds & 100 MPH. And it's not all about the cars, It's a big group of friends just soicalizing and other fun activitys.

Very true, you develop a lot of friendships in the racing world. And in the end, it's all about having fun and doing what you love.

Not a good idea at the track (doubt it would even pass the tech inspection). It would probably fly out the bed on one of the power shifts, and the is in NO WAY safe for ANYONE at the track. On the street it would be ok, we just put one of those truck tollboxes on the back and load it with stuff. Then it really becomes a sleeper. :devil2:

Ohh god scrap in the back will get you kicked out of the track and never pass inspection. You even have to remove your spare tire in street class drag racing. Also you have to remove that giant sub whoofer in the trunk like msot 18 year olds have.

Yup. Wow, your track is really strict! I didn't know you had to remove the spare....

Well scrap in the back isnt the greatest for drag racing but it works great for winter driving especially if you have bedliner that will let you put dividers in it to keep it at the back. How about filling the bumper with lead? You would need a few people and a forklift to get it back on there but it would help hold the rear end down.

So much for being "inactive", Ed. :arf: You had said at the beginning of this thread that you didn't know if you'd be on as much after getting your "shifter kart".
I saw a funny one on someones dirty Scion xB. It said: "Toyota dirt test in progress, please don't wash" :roflol:

yeah it was being sanded then. now its all done and primered up. i was going to do it myself and be "inactive" like i said but then without my consent my dad hired some guy to do it. so only thing left to do is straighten out the frame and paint. and i cant do either of those things
