Oh, that's more like it, I was thinking about starting one myself! Beat me to the punch. :arf:
Yeah, Grid is freakin' difficult with the keyboard. I have a steering wheel, but I don't have anywhere to put it at the moment so I haven't really played it with the wheel. The best I've gotten just playing with the keyboard is 3rd place. I would have gotten first, but I damaged my cars' alignment and I hit a wall which slowed me down enough for two cars to just zoom past me. All the other times I've played it I've gotten a comforting last place.

Im more into old school stuff, SNES, a 2600 clone (soon to have a cart slot), getting grandpas NES when they find it. I have a PS2 with an online box but I dont play it very often.

I have a couple of 2600's in the garage somewhere, but they need some repairs done to them, they have broken switches. I haven't messed with them in years. I used to play with the 2600 all the time! I had a bunch of games for it but they all seem to have gotten lost over the years :(. I have an NES too that needs some work. I have Mario 2, Tetris, and Gyromite for it, but I don't have the R.O.B for Gyromite.

My mom sold my 2600 and NES, I later conned her into buying me a SNES for this BS a few years after I sold my SNES(big mistake, it was one of the not dog pee yellow brittle cased ones).

i tried the grid demo for xbox and it was easy
beat every race except the drifting
AND beat the world record time which would have entered me in a contest to win a BMW 3 series if i lived in europe
if youre really into it, you can buy a wired xbox controller and use it on your computer

Racing games don't seem to have the same effect without a wheel and pedals, especially a force feedback wheel.

ive heard that nissan or mazda or some asian car company wanted to take a game console and connect it to the car and use the cars steering and pedals to control the game. IIRC they also wanted to use some kind of HUD so that the graphics would be on your windshield

What is IIRC? I don't know this one.
What would happen if you just "happened" to confuse real life for the game?

Grid looked like a lot of fun, but I went to download the demo and it was gonna take 6 or 7 hours to DL, so I'm playing this (http://www.miniclip.com/games/need-for-madness/en/) instead.

im kinda disappointed by the lack of anything good right now over all the consoles. mario galaxy was great and uncharted was pretty fun but now im sitting waiting for anything decent. and yea i too keep my classic consoles. i have my NES, SNES, dreamcast, PSX, 2 x launch japanese PS2 (one modded), PS3, 360 and Wii.
as a side note i just finished working on the new mortal kombat game, which may turn out to be fun but the story is extremely cheesy lol

I just wanna race. Need a good PC for that (my first hobby, Oscaryu1 @ Computerforum.com) and then cars (my second hobby, including go karting and small engine repair)...
Anywho... what games you... ehhhh... ummm... advise?

If you're referring to Racing games, The NFS series are ok, but they don't really hold my interest for too long. If you're more into "simulation" style ones, there's another one called GTR2 for PC, It's a little older so it doesn't need a lot of hardware to run.
Mario Kart if always fun as a racing game! :arf:
