Harbor Freight Parking Lot Sale

Went to the Parking lot sale and two things happened:

1. I bought two blues for $65 each! :bannana:

2. When I was about to load them in my car I discovered that someone had gotten into my car and stolen my subwoofers, crossover, and amplifier from my car. :mad2: Oddly enough, they didn't take anything else from my car. There was a laptop just sitting there in the front passenger seat which was untouched, Usb external hard drive, video cards, and other stuff, yet they only took the amplifier which was mounted underneath the drivers seat! They did the job last night, not while I was at the store.

No no, not at the parking lot of the store, that's where I found out that it had happened the night before. When I opened my trunk to put the motors in, the trunk was empty. They even used my own tools to do it! Luckily enough, the didn't rip anything out and all the cables and everything is intact so replacing the stuff wouldn't be too hard.

I didn't notice it on the way to the store because I didn't play any music. Even if I had played music though, I still wouldn't have noticed because I had disconnected the amp from the subs the afternoon before when I was working on it.

$65?! We had a sidewalk sale this summer also. The HF 6.5HP wasn't in the catalog. "If it's not there, it's probably not on the sale"

build a super fast go kart using those HF engines... then, add a massive bucket to the front of it.

then, next parking lot sale...

drive thru there and scoop up all those other HF engines in the bucket of your super fast go kart!

I'd just spend a thousand bucks, assuming it's going to be crammed into a usable sized engine with a usuable output shaft...imagine a 6.5hp block pushing 1000hp! Just imagine...your output shaft will become butter, your clutch will die, but before that, you gunna make thrust scc your *****.

They stole my subwofers also, Mounted inside my motorhome. Didnt get away tho :) They went to put more gas in it and the local cops got them, because of a 10.00 locking gas cap! There making big rocks into small ones, now :thumbsup:

I got the flyer and they have some great deals . But im looking to get an 11-13 hp engine sooner or later. and im waiting for the parkinglot sale but i guess its going on . Thanks

and yeah, i just went to HF on Tuesday to get a puller set for a stubborn 50-some year old pulley on a tiller, and i picked up a flier on the way out.
parking lot sale is June 12-14 here in the Detroit-Metro area, but clones werent mentioned in the paper.

im pretty much broke at the moment, so i wont be buying any clones.. not that i have a real use for them at the moment anyway.. cause im broke :roflol:

Their wheels is about the closest you'll get to kart parts at the Parking Lot Sales, and even some of those suck. You may be able to score a blue engine for pretty cheap though.

There's a 20% off any one thing coupon for HF in all my new autoweek magazines. Originals only, no copies. Probably in other magazines as well, so keep an eye out for them. It would be worth spending a couple of bucks to pick up the magazine to save on a big ticket item.
