Spam Rant post!

Ok, I'm just putting this up to rant about all the stupid spam we've been getting within the past couple of days. It's getting on my nerves! Only because it's actually making me do some work around here... LOL. JK

No, but really, I wonder why the heck we're getting spammed all of a sudden? There was one incident a couple of months ago about viagra, but now we're getting some random stuff showing up frequently. I think I've deleted at least 10 since yesterday.

It's very annoying to be trying to read through a thread and all of a sudden see some stupid ad or links to something useless, (well that viagra... crap, I digress), I mean, or just stuff that makes no sense. Not only that, but it adds unnecessary posts to a thread and then when you go to search for all the new threads, you get more than you should because some spammer added useless stuff to several of the threads.

If you happen to see any spam that I might have missed, please link to the thread containing it here and say who and I'll take care of it. I'll sticky this so that it's readily available.

its because we are growing as a site and more and more people are checking use out everyday. i wounder is there a way to count how many guess check the site out every day.

people do have better stuff to do, they write the programs and **** for these bots. dont write to them as they are bots.

i think what 'gets there attention' are perhaps key words. do some research on the types of programs and how to combat them maybe?

Sometimes when I get those emails to verify your credit card information I go on them and and type a bunch of junk information and submit it. I'll put some comments in the "password" section and the "user name" section, just to let them know that they are stupid. Whether they read it or not, not my issue, as long as they don't get my actual credit card information. :roflol:

:furious2:Sorry about the SPAM guys, we try to delete it as quick as we can. Unfortunately us Mods can't ban users so we have to wait until our Admin bans or deletes the users. Right now we have two repeat offenders that need to be gone from here. I have sent a message to our Admin but, he's usually pretty busy so I'm just hoping he sees it soon. Thanks to those of you who have reported spam posts! It makes deleting them just slightly faster.
