hey guys, I have a 175 kawasaki 2 stoke motor to start my new project with. been checking out the net, looking at pics, with some motors behind the seat some off to the side. just wondering if the motor will over heat behind the seat. ready to get started just checking out designs and planning stage. thanks Joe

i dont really think it matters if its to the side or in the middle. what ever suits your needs.

You put it behind the seat because the output shaft usually comes out on the left, and most people run a single wheel drive, therefore it has to be right there behind the seat on the left side.

If you run a live axle, you can put it anywhere, and many choose a more central location.

Basically, the question is: "where does my sprocket need to be", and the engine placement follows.
