If you noticed the car has a mycron 3 660 I think somone here was talking about those. the top number on the gauge is jackshaft rpm then the 170 number is head temp in F then the bottom number is exaust gas temp. Then the side numbers is RPM you can see it idle at around 4300. We normally idle higher, but just to be kind to the neibours we dont idle it up in the driveway too much.

Sounds great....what track do you run at? I've always wanted to get into these...and I MIGHT get my shot. What do one of these babies cost? I know they're not too cheap.....

One more question for you Tyler: exactly how do these engines differ from a normal Briggs 5? Like if I were to build one, what could I leave stock (not much, I know that).

We got our car for 4100 with a small 11 second motor then we ramped up to a 3 inch blockzilla. I race un quebec canada. And when you run 8000+ RPM out of a 4 stroke almost NOTHING is stock.

I would say if you run 8000+ rpm out of a briggs based engine almost nothing is stock, alot of 4 strokes(such as streetbikes) can run 14,000 rpm safely and redline at 16,000.

Yeah pretty much everything is all billet aluminum eccept for the block.

Well that was a little cheaper than I thought...and yea, and I figured it was all race prepped internals. I've been to Quebec....nice place.

When I'm done, lets race :D Jk :p

You say you drill start it? I highly doubt that... because...

1) I'm 99.999999% sure it's a high compression engine...
2) The moment it starts (since it idles at 5000 or so), it'd basically rip out the socket and screw up the drill...

ect... Still, nice. It sounds very stable at 5000RPM too

lol no its not drill started it's started with a coleman mini gear reduction starter. And yeah its a crazy high compresion engine. Yeah it idles like a bat out of he** It sure is a real thumper. It sounds pretty good in the video but to see it in real life is just amazing.burnt about 2 liters of alcohol in about 1 minute of idling. http://www.carlsonmotorsports.com/ColemanMini-Starter.jpg When it pops threw the exaust it feels like a slap to the head especilly when the exaust is 3 feet away from a closed garage (echo)

Lol I think magnesium spray paint can get out of hands pretty easy by people miss-using it. Have you guys ever seen a shred of magnesium burn? It makes insane light.
