I've got that old-school briggs engine that's 8-10 HP and big, and I was going to make another mini chopper. But maybe I should make a bar stool racer? Or maybe an ATV-like vehicle. I'm torn.

I think you should build an Quad bike/ATV that has a monster suspension and huge wheels. 4WD would be cool too.:D

Whatever you build, you could try to add a mini turbo. :P (take a plastic air compressor like those used for inflatable beds and with the sand metalcasting tehnique, turn the plastic housing into a metal one) Maybe try out a unusual suspension setup.

Wow. Now that is one good idea. ((gears turning in head))

Getting a 12v or whatever pump would be easier. I'd hate to have to supply enough batteries for a 120v wall outlet pump. Cordless all the way :P

i was thinking about this and thought that if you did this you would have to have a way of getting more gas into the engine and controlling it at the same time so this my require a racing carb or larger jets for the carb you have now or my last idea is if the carb dosent have jets you might have to get a tiny drill bit and drill out the gas outlet to let more out
hope this helps

Well the biggest problem with adding a turbo to say a Briggs 5 hp, is that if you put the turbo between the air filter and the carb the pressure in the carb tend to push the gas backwards through (in) the jets. I tried it on my go cart and it looked very cool but made the engine stutter because the turbo did just that. The real way to do it would be to put the turbo between the carb and the engine, this would allow the fan to pull more air AND fuel into the engine.

I'd like to see a mini replica of a vintage WW II tank, that would be cool for a kid to play with and quite a challenge to build. Or heck a little hum vee would also be sweet and challenge to try to make.

i reckon it would be cool to have like a motorised chair .. ive seen couches before but it would be a good challenge (and totally cool!) to drive a comfy lounge chair around the neighbourhood

There are some WWII tank pictures (high res) in that link, if you're interested.

I've always thought about building a custom bicycle, with a motor, have the bike built, just hadn't got a motor on it yet.
