hey every one!!
I got around to getting up a few pics for everyone to look at but first a little back ground.

The kart was picked up on a trade took my son over to look at it instant love for a 12 year old and yes me to:thumbsup: it's a older road boss 450 xlt has a roll cage. Not a bad kart it all was there it was wrecked in the front but drove fine( R wheel bent in ) tires were bald and needed a throttle cable pretty much it.

I let him drive the heck out of it in tell he went around the front of the house and went to turn and ended going up a tree,Me watching this( Tie rod broke )That's how he got his nic name" crash" he Did not get hurt

So winter project was to stretch it 6" and re do the front end and new live axle bearings and 6" rims.We had to relocate the seat mounts and cut off the front end and relocate the rear axle it was a 3/4 axle running through a tube it was bent also.

I'll have more the next week or so to put up. Click the link

Got an up date for everyone,We had some issues with having enough room at the rear axle for everything to line up right so the 1st pic is the old rear half the rest you can see the new half we built.
Also we are putting the roll bar on and decided to change it and weld it to the chassis instead of bolt on.The thing rattled to much and was wearing holes into the frame were it bolted.we made it wider in front to get more visibility because the two down bars were in the way of view.

Sorry for the bad pics my camera died so I used my son's I hope to have it back Monday

well it's been a few weeks of not working on the kart yesterday we did finish up the welding and changed the rear half of the cart from this 1st pic to this 2nd pic.We did not like the way that was.

So now we have to get the brake installed and then sand and prime for painting. We got a new clutch in yesterday,Still need some chain and 2 locking collars,Does any one know were to get good one's the ones from northern tool look kind of cheep.Has anyone made there own???also I need the nuts for the axle I still have to figure out what size they are.Getting close!!

I will try to get some more pics up in the next few days.I am going to mock every thing up before painting it.:drool5:
