Sounds like a stuck float/needle or (depending on construction) float could have a hole in it causing bowl to overfill and leak out of carb. If it is just stuck, a couple of sharp raps with a plastic mallet (or screw driver handle) on body of carb may clear it. If this does not work, carb will have to be disassembled.

I jumped the gun here. Sure its oil? This could happen If engine was not sitting level.

If in fact engine has been sitting level, then you have to check a couple of things.
Check oil level. Is it overfilled?
If it is overfilled, does it have a strong odor of raw gas?
How long has engine been sitting and well how did it run before you stopped using it?
Did this engine smoke at all?

Yup, I had this happen to one of my engines because it was sitting on it's side. I don't see any reason why there would be oil coming out of it if it was sitting right side up because then it would just settle at the bottom of the case.

If the breather tube connects to the carb, and it was on its side, go figger.

or should i clean the float bowl
Just run it until smoke clears. Might take a couple minutes. Make sure air filter is not soaked with oil. Also, check oil level in crankcase.

Don't carry logs into the forest means to not be redundant. Why would you take logs with you to a forest if there was wood everywhere around you.

Webster dictionary... "Using more words than necessary" - Redundant Definition 3.

I beg to differ, but I often find plenty of things to drool at when on the internet. :drool5: :drool5: :drool5: :arf:
Oscaryu, redundancy doesn't just mean to use more words than necessary. It can also mean to have more than one of something in place. Have you ever heard of redundant power supplies when dealing with servers? That means that there's more than one power supply available and working at the same time in case one goes bad. Also RAID, when referring to computers and such, stands for Redundant Array of Independent Disks. So if you know anything about RAID, you know that you can have mirroring (the same exact data) across various drives in case one goes bad, you don't lose any of your data.
When someone says: "I just bought a new NIC card for my computer", they're being redundant because NIC stands for Network Interface Card. So basically they're saying they have a network interface card card. No that wasn't a typo. And that's today lesson on stuff. :arf: :arf:

Why would he need a NIC? Most mobos these days come with a onboard NIC... :biggrin5:

It means, Dont cause unnessecary work. Why would you carry logs into a forest full of logs?
