I am thinking of getting the following engine. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/110cc-Engine-CVT-4-STROKE-mini-ATV-DIRT-BIKE-OEM-AUTO_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35595QQihZ022QQite mZ350039940318QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
What do you all think of putting this in my soon to be built kart?
Please help me. I need to start making my plans for my kart so I can build it.

Looks pretty nice, especially with the CVT built in. Not bad for that price, I guess.

Man that is a tough call! If you install that motor, you have to keep in mind setting up a shift linkage (no big thing for most people). Speedy Mo.... have you ever ridden one of the old Honda 90cc step-thru bikes, etc? That'll give you an idea of what's possible. I had one that'd do 55mph. I also have a 110cc ATC that tops out at 40mph. The gearing is what saves these motors, as you're dealing with an engine with a smaller displacement than a 3hp Briggs. $250 seems really good, and if you're building from scratch, you'll be able to really set the kart up nice for it.

Dude stick with a 5hp briggs and straton you can do so many things with them and there a comon motor. You can build that thing up and have way more horses and torque than that motor. Also there not to expensive here check these out.

also make sure if you do go with it you get one with bearing on the cover they work alot better

So what you are telling me is that these engines produce some good power and with the gearing that they have on them the can move a fat man like me and a some what heavy cart?
