Would you remove a governor off an engine? What are the pros and cons of removing it?

Dude I'm not trying to be mean here but the cons are kinda obvious man. Theres a governer there for a reason and whne you start messsing around with it your just going to throw a rod or flywheel.

The engine is a 6.5 hp central machinery engine. (The blue one @ Harbor Freight)

You shouldnt start messsing around with governers on those honda knock offs. The materiel the internals are made of just arrent up to the job of turning 4000 or more. I know somone's going to correct me and say they can turn 5000 plus all stock but if you ask me I'm not taking the chance of it.

Well, I just bought a 6.5 hp Blue clone, and am hopping it up. with everything except removing the Gov. as I read more and talk to cart stores, it seems the majority rule, is that the Blue clones can take the high rpms (ex.5200) that removeiing the gov. will provide, just make sure you jet up the carb. and install 18# valve springs! Im gonna try mine with a gov. 1st then will remove later I m sure
