Many hispanic people refer to Texas as "Tejas".

hahah, yeah i forget this is an international forum.. :)

Tejas is the spanish original name of the region, named by the spanish back whenever they named it. Then texas was part of mexico, then we declared independence from mexico in 1836, and was a republic for around a decade before becoming a state in the US.

The title of this thread isn't a typo either -- he's saying "hola" (hello in spanish) from texas.

hey oscar my name is mikey i am also from texas. A little town on the western tip called canutillo!!! it borders three places texas,New mexico, and Mexico.
