Nope, Runs like a champ. Start with choke, right off, idles perfectly, and revs out to 7k with no problems. (besides the glowing red hot exhaust) Only reason I wanna try to figure it out is because waiting for the exhaust to cool and the backfiring are starting to get annoying

So basically, should I buy a set of jets from 0.43 - 0.49? Go power sports sent over a .46, I believe. I also can borrow a precision drill set and step up the size and see if it helps...

I am pretty sure it is around 500, Thermal gun clocked it at like 480 when it wasn't as bright glowing... So I should lean out the jet a little?

So i tried to reach out to them and it turns out they just simply do not carry a ring gear, let alone a fhywheel that has a ring gear on it. I bit the bullet and bought the ring gear, unfortunate really but I don't want to resort to cutting corners for the starter.

The problem with exchanging it is I paid for and bought a flywheel without a pinion, Ill try but I don't expect them to give me the right one. Thank you!

Had a really similar problem with a predator 212, running very lean. Dont know about your case though. Take a page out of this and try playing with jet sizing:

Tuning helps, but you gotta consider how limited tuning can be done on a stock predator carb... I can really only change the idle and main jets. I would love to get a genuine Mikuni carb at some point, but I definitely do not have the money right now.

Wanna go 60, I will probably have a top speed gear for 60 and a typical play-around gear for around 45-50mph. I run split sprockets so it is easy to swap.

Update: The engine runs and is in pretty good condition, I am going to sell it and take the money and build a stage 2 420 Predator with a 40 series torque converter. It's a much simpler setup!
